DNF options

Please read the general DNF protocol here: https://volunteers.utmr.ch/dnf-protocol/

If a runner drops out the only option is to walk one hour down to Randa, and take the train back to Zermatt (STAGE RACE) or Grächen (ULTRA).

Exit from the next checkpoint Attermenzen is a 30-40 minute walk along the valley to Randa or Täsch, and a train to Zermatt/Grächen, or an expensive taxi ride. CP Attermenzen has drinks / snack food available.

For the train timetable see https://www.sbb.ch/en

Time limit

No cut-off time.

Medical

The Samariter, Klaus Jaeger, will walk up Wednesday morning in time for the first arrival.

Departure

Two volunteers will demark (to Herbriggen and Attermenzen). The other two volunteers can walk directly back down to Randa with the checkpoint materials. Please let us know an ETA at Herbriggen and Randa so we can arrange collection to bring you back to Grächen. The volunteers at CP Attermenzen will wait for the demarker to arrive and bring back to Grächen.

Special Notes

Thank you so much and have a great time up there!

Thank you! Our runners love you!
